It's as if everybody is upgrading to 8.

Would like to install 8, but can't download all the drivers from dell as they seem to be flooded at this time. Got a few of them, but have more to go. Yet can't use my bookmarked direct link to system drivers page. Get "Sorry for the inconvience, this page is unavailable at this time" or "Error Encountered", when all was good there for awhile. Tried to use the indirect route, click on "Drivers & Downloads", ...get nothing and/or "Ërror Encountered". Been this way for over an hour now.

Gee, Thanks for being ready Dell. :sarc:

How is your PC manufacture Windows 8 driver download's going? Hope better than dell's. :(

Going on over 2 hours and still no luck with dell driver downloads at all.

Before 3 AM PCT US, the OS dropdown for this laptop didn't even have Windows 8 shown. Most 8 drivers are dated today, some on 24th & 25th, yet nothing was avalible until today. Surely they could have done better with working with MS on this. Know they have many models to create/update 8 drivers for, but still think dell has dropped the ball on this.

...Very disappointed in dell and the fact can't download for over 2 hours now.

I upgraded my Dell desktop and laptop, custom install, both went with no problems and no sign of bad or no drivers.
Updated the Intel RST because the one installed was old.

Give it a try, you don't need no stinkin dell drivers
