My Friend, for the first time, asked me a favor.. It was to create a slideshow that can be presented to her friend on her B'day.. I decided to go upon Windows Live Movie Maker because i had a few slideshows which went popular with the simple and attractive animations..

So, I would like to make it way better than the one i created in Window's Live Movie Maker. My Questions are:

1. Can Any one of you guys suggest a good Video Editing or Slideshow Creation Software?
2. Will I Get a High Definition Video Output after the processing of the Video?
3. Can you suggest a good Soundtrack for the Video? ( Between 3 Minutes and 4 Minutes, Melodious, A Track that can Represent an old memory Together etc.)

I Would be really Glad If Any one of you could help me on this topic, Because it is kinda Important for me.. This might Help me in a lotta ways..

Thank You
Shon John Xander

Well, I personally have been asked to do this before by a teacher friend of mine. I used PowerPoint 2010 for that and used the metro design with the pictures. I just made a mosaic on each slide, used a fade in animation on each photo and staggered the timing, then had a blank black slide fade in and did it again. I used certain transition animations based on the tempo of the song at that particular timing. It was intense! The song I used was by Grouplove, Tongue Tied. I find it's a fantastic song to go with an emotional, memory packed presentation. It's about 3 and half minutes long. Another song that can be used is Spun by Grouplove too, but I'd go with Tongue Tide as you can cry and sing along with it and it's really happy! :D :dinesh:

I'd recommend PowerPoint for this, especially 2013, as you can save the presentation in not only in a .wmv video file but publish it onto a CD. Pretty handy! You won't get quality loss either.

PowerPoint is such an underrated beast for these type of projects. Hitting Save As... and you can literally choose from SO many different file formats it is ridiculous!

Want to throw in my two cents, but it's a little out-of-dated, but, here's it.
I've been using Windows Movie Maker for some time because it's free, but it wasn't enough. I've found one good app, that gave me what i want to see from easy slideshow maker. Simple and very powerfull, so that anyone could've used it
