Can't change the Metro (win 8 start) background colour

I've managed to figure out how to do it - despite staying clear of Metro through using a third party normal start menu.
When I press the correct item in metro to customise the colour, absolutely nothing happens.
Any idea what could be wrong?

I know I can hack this colour straight in the registry but I prefer not to.
I want to trigger the GUI based colour selector

Any idea what could be wrong? (Win8 Pro with all the latest patches).

Thanks Broe23! I'll check that out.

But I don't understand - why isn't it working? The functionality is there.... I have changed the colour previously, for example when I set up Windows 8 and when I migrated to Windows 8.1. I used to have it yellow....

Why would it not be possible to change anymore?

PS- I see you are a Linux Mint user - wow! Just going to spend a day now, getting dual boot set up, for Linux Mint. Don't like the direction WIndows is going + not willing to be spied on as a matter of routine. I don't know anyone else who's made the leap, so heading over to the Linux Mint forums later. This has been a long time in the making but the time is finally here.

It does. But if you do not have your roaming profile synced. It will revert it.
