Hello Johny,

It sounds like you are in a library. If so, then this is normal since all included folders in a library share the same folder view.

To have separate folder views per folder, you would need to open the folder at it's actual say "C:\Users\(user-name)\Documents" location instead of in the Documents library.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

you're right!

weird thing: if i browse to the folder via the library, and click in the address bar, i get:
C:\Documents\Clients\AHRI

but if i browse via

Computer > C drive > My Documents > Clients > AHRI

and then click in my address bar, i STILL get:
C:\Documents\Clients\AHRI

Explorer might interpret it in the library context, or it might interpret the SAME path in the absolute path context, depending on how i got there.

So that means i cannot simply type into the address bar the path i want, as you suggested. i must BROWSE there via the navigation pane.

Kind of annoying. Any way around that? Any way to tell explorer to switch to absolute path context, even if it's currently in Library context?

thx!
