Solved translate

i might be in the wrong section sorry if i am

when i go onto a web site how can i translate a foreign language to english . i have tried google but i dont seem to be doing it right also im not sure what language it is in the first place . any help appreciated

I use this one Free Translate 2 app for Windows in the Windows Store

You can choose google or bing as the translation engine as sometimes one is better than the other.

It is pretty good.

Alternatively if you use google chrome as your browser you can set it to automatically translate web pages and it will detect the language. The trouble with doing that is buttons on the web page don't work sometimes so I find it easier to cut and paste the text into the translation app.

For the whole site I'd suggest you install chrome then enter chrome://settings as shown and tick the "offer to translate...." box. It will then translate the site for you - like the link you supplied. It will detect the language (Russian here) - you don't need to know. You can then choose if you want to always translate Russian or whatever language or to be prompted every time.

The app is more for translating text.

EDIT: Your link has some pictures with appear to be scanned from a Portuguese magazine. These pictures contain text describing the method of construction. Nothing that I'm aware of will automatically translate text that is stored in pictures. I'm sure it is possible but you'd have to save the picture, get some software like Acrobat to extract the text and then translate it. This would be fairly longwinded. Google chrome will only translate text in the webpage itself.

Just type "translate" in Google search and it will be available.
