Can't select Lock Screen Image

Hey all,

I can't seem to change my lock screen image, in the settings I have picked an image (or folder, i tried both) and all I get to see is my default color, no image.

I have Windows 8.1.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Just to make sure, you are talking about the "Lock" screen in the link below....
and not the "Sign-in" screen below? The sign-in screen only has the option for a solid color.

Lock Screen Settings

Thanks a lot Brink, but unfortunately my problem still persists. I am not even able to see the default images on my lock screen (while I am logged in). I still only get to see a default color even though i specified to show an image. I attached a screenshot of my Lock Screen settings, perhaps you can spot something I have done wrong?

I don't see anything wrong with them, and not sure why you don't see that lock screen background when you press :winkey: + L while signed in.

Has it always not shown, or just recently started with this issue?

You might see if running a sfc /scannow command may help if there's a corrupted or modified system file at fault.

If this did start recently and the SFC scan didn't help, then you could try a system restore using a restore point dated before this issue started.

Lock Screen Settings

It has always been a solid color when I press WIN + L.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I created another user account and deleted the original one?

That shouldn't matter since the lock screen background is a per user setting and not global.
