I am fully aware threads of this nature exist, however they conflict with other threads and videos that are out there.
According to this post is is not possible, but there is a work-around. However according to so many articles and videos it is entirely possible to re-enable the sound.
I have checked the enable startup sound, disabled fast booting/hybrid boot, and done the registry edits to allow me to customize normally unavailable windows sounds.
So what gives? Windows should be playing the startup .wav I have selected.
