Yes, I've restored it in Windows 8. It's the same procedure as in Windows 7 to restore Quick Launch in Windows 8 as well. Once you open the Desktop by clicking on the "Desktop" appp on the Metro "Start" screen, you should be able to use the same tutorial below to do it.
Hmm, how is that. I never made e.g. subfolders in Quick Launch (is that even possible) - and the possible folder structure gives the toolbars an edge - I think.
