Quick Launch - How to restore

I attempted reviving Quick Launch in the way for W7 but could not. Has anyone done this?

    Hello Churin,

Yes, I've restored it in Windows 8. It's the same procedure as in Windows 7 to restore Quick Launch in Windows 8 as well. Once you open the Desktop by clicking on the "Desktop" appp on the Metro "Start" screen, you should be able to use the same tutorial below to do it.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

As an alternative you could use Toolbars - which I find more practical and more open ended. Toolbars - How to Use in Windows 7 and Vista - Windows 7 Forums

I tried it again and found that I could do it the same way as that for W7. Thank you very much for your help.

    It uses the same method.
Hmm, how is that. I never made e.g. subfolders in Quick Launch (is that even possible) - and the possible folder structure gives the toolbars an edge - I think.

    Sorry Wolfgang,

I thought you meant to add Quick Launch to the taskbar by adding it as a toolbar. That's what I meant was the same.
