Hello Jeff, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Does the second hard drive have a drive letter assigned to it and shows up in the Computer window?

As a test, press and hold Shift, right click on a file, release Shift, and click on Send to too see if the drive is there now.

Hope this helps for now, :)
Shawn

Hi thanks for reply yes the drive has been assigned (F:) I can save to it by drag and drop or specifiying its location . I have tried shift select this does bring up the send to list but the drive is not shown . I have also noticed that documents is also not in send to drop down list list I can work around in various ways but it is such a handy way to save. I am sure there must be a way of adding destinations to the list hidden somewhere in win8. Many thanks again for looking Jeff
