Don't know if this has been posted before but....just in case it hasn't.....

If you prefer to use the old, traditional desktop with windows 8 you've already discovered that the "Start" icon is missing down in the lower left hand corner.

One solution is to check into Stardock.com and download "Start8" and install it. It's a $4.95 item but well worth that minimal cost...I think. I am using it now and have had no problems. The "windows" flag now appears in lower left corner when I'm viewing the traditional desktop screen. When I click on it I get the "start" menu we are used to.

Just a suggestion FYI.:D

Don't know if this has been posted before but....

It has. About a billion times. In a billion different threads. By a billion other people that said "just in case" and "I don't know if this has been posted before"

But hey, a few more billion threads won't hurt, right?

Brink: Can we make this a sticky?

No sticky. To many of them. I just use the tutorial as a central reference instead.

I loaded Classic Shell, which is free, and emulates Vista but is operating Windows 8. Great for those of us who are too lazy to learn a vastly new OS.
