Upload the DMP files and we can tell you why.

We really need the DMP files created when the system crashes as they are the only source of information as to what drivers were loaded and what happened just prior to the crash.
Without them we can only give educated generic help.


If you are experiencing "BSOD'S" or Blue screens of death please follow these instructions to find and upload the information we need to find the cause of the problem.

If you can boot normally do so and go here to download Capt.Jack.Sparrows great data collection app. Windows 8 Log Collector

If you cant boot normally try booting into safe mode with networking (F8).
If successful also download Capt.Jack.Sparrows collection app.

After downloading it, please run it as admin (elevated privileges) and click the get all button.

When finished compress (ZIP) the file and upload it to us here.

Please provide any other info (ie system specs, when the crashes occur, etc.) that might be useful too.

We are still waiting for the DMP files. Let us know if you need help with that,

Remember > It is much easier to find patterns, etc, when there is more than one crash.

We prefer you wait until you have at least two so that if one is corrupt the other probably wont be.

hey I got Consumer preview, so I guess I don't have the DMP files anymore.

OK but now you know what to do next time you have a crash
