recent AVG signature file update is incorrectly identifying iTunes/iPod files as viruses, as reported by forum users on the Apple website.

The AVG Virus scanner identifies all iTunes/iPod related files as the 'Small.BOG' trojan - a trojan which does not seem to exist, as revealed by a quick Google search. The update, which is unidentified, but confirmed to be a false positive, is removing all files, and deleting them. Once these files have been "cleaned", iTunes will not run, and is not fixable by a reinstall.

i had to disable AVG's safe search plug in for firefox tonight cos it was causing java problems =\

I think AVG is going the wrong way

AVG is not good. Was using it with a legit key, then BOOM it says I'm using it with an illegal pirated key. WTF? Anyway, I'm now using MS Security Essentials which is Ace. Much better than onecare

Noooo! We like iTunes. iTunes is good. It's WMP thats crap

HAHAHAH! I use both itunes and Winamp, WMP is a POS, Itunes for mah iPod, and Winamp to sort my 56gig of music , and with the AV, I say AVIRA!
