Today I went up to Dahlgren for an internship. It worked out pretty well, I think. I managed to create some firing tables for an 81mm mortar round. The physics is fascinating. After that, I went home and read part of the third book in the Dune saga by Frank Herbert. If you haven't read it and like science fiction, you should go pick it up and give it a try.
After dinner, I posted this after browsing Eight Forums and playing Minecraft for a while.

    Well, we're always here.
I know I'm 9 hours ahead of you, so when I'm up at 6:00 a.m. your probably just going to bed. I think I have that correct. Right? Good to hear from you!

So you are a Naval sailor/cadet going to school I assume? You're very intelligent to be able to get into that. Physics is one of my greatest interests. I worked construction at and live near Fermilab in Batavia, IL. Visit there from time to time. They found a lot of sub particles there. Of course, CERN is the real hotspot of that field today. I'm sure you know that they had to calculate projectile tables by hand during WWII. Can you imagine how long that took?!! I think it was the EDSAC that was built to do the job just before the war ended.

I read for facts, but love a good Sci-Fi flick. The Alien series was my best.

I am packed and leaving for the North woods of WI. That's my plans/chore for today. It is a blistering 100+° with high humidity here in Ill-in-noise. It's like living in a swamp! Northwoods are usually 10° less. 2-a-roo for now.
