It's among many things that make us "live" each day and see the future.

Today. We will gather at the motor club to discuss a plan of bike touring to Bali in this coming July.

    Today
My old Blackberry die on me. It just happened all of the sudden. The worst thing is I haven't backed up all contacts, notes, appointments, schedules, for this last 6 months.

Kevin? Did you try to reset it There is a pinhole in the body that you can put a paperclip and reset it
and it should come back to life.

*Edit* So you know by doing that it will turn it into a ZOMBIE unit!!

Remove battery, press all buttons one at a time, wait a few minutes, replace battery. Probably won't work, but costs nothing

    Guys.

I did everything I know, including you guys said. Soft and hard reset didn't do any good at all. :'(
It just restarted, and after few seconds restart and looping as many as it wanted.
I don't know if it just coincidentally happened. My son played the Sim in it, when the battery was getting low, he replaced it with his sister BB battery (the same type actually), and it happened. It might have happened because he didn't quit the game or others? I don't know. But surely he isn't the one who should take the blame. It is an old BB curve 8520 anyway.

I'm actually OK with the death BB. But what I regret is I only have 6 month-old backup!! Lost many important contact for next few month seminar schedules :'(
I will try an online device software downgrade using my office connection this morning (I upgraded from ver 4 to ver 5 two years ago).

That will be my last desperate effort.

Can you connect it to your PC and read anything from it?

    Hi Bill.

I was able to manage downgrading the device software through Blackberry website. Using BB desktop software and BB device manager the online apps was able to catch that on and off gadget and get it connected to my laptop securely It took me an hour to have it restarted with older version (the original) of BB device software. But you know, I only got half of God mercy as my BB just like being newly shipped from factory. There is nothing in it.

I'm going to restore all data from 6 month-old backup and do the rest manually.
At least I don't need to rush buying another gadget.

Thanks for the support and assistance.

    Kevin
