Hi, Kodi. This site is essentially still under development. I don't believe the Admins have made a final a determination as of yet as to what the requirements will be here. For all we know, they will not be the same badges or requirements as at the Vista and Seven Forums.

The Eight Forums members are here to help John (the forum owner) to de-bug the forum software, vBulletin. This is also a newer version of the software than being used in Seven Forums, so all of us are learning how to use it, and what the differences are. Learning new software and customizing it for our needs takes time. We hope to be ready well before Microsoft releases the next Operating System. In the mean time, we are not concerned about being promoted here the way it works on Seven Forums or Vista Forums. Those things will all happen in time as we get closer to Windows Eight. However, we also welcome any public interest in the development of Eight Forums. Please feel free to add your input at any time!

Robert, I was aware of all of this but some time back John started a thread in 7 forum about ranks and badges and i was under the impression that he had finalized and implimeted it.
It is now obvious that he had not and was updating manually when he got the time.
The only reason i asked was that there seemed to be no consistency to it and now i know why.

I can't remember where John posted it but it's not a problem.

Half the People on the forum with badges are green, the other half is purple.

John decided just to make a random 50 - 50 split of all the Members/VIP Members.
