I'm bored so I will relate my computer experience.

Did Tuesday's Updates.
They were kind of weird.
They broke SilverLight & had to reinstall it.

After the Updates I ran Extended Disk Cleanup.
Took over 2 hours mainly because of Windows Update Cleanup.

Ran CCleaner.

Defragged with Auslogics defragger Pro.{Optimized too}

Ran my dism batch file---

Code:
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
pause

I think that's all.

Then I created a Macrium image of all local drives.

ok-- I ran a complete virus scan too.
Clean. :)

Everything clean & working good.

Everybody should do routine maintenance.
Some of it you can set in motion & take a nap & it will be done by the time you wake up.
Dism & sfc I just let run in the background till finished.

Defrag I have set on a schedule every day during idle time.

It's nice not to see a blue or black screen with a cursor.
Or freeze ups.

That's all.
Killed some boredom. :)

edit--- Regained 5 GBs of free space by cleaning up. :):party:

General info

A batch file runs using the Command processor that is Built into Windows (AKA. ... CMD.EXE, The DOS Prompt), you need to use Save As from notepad and change the defaiult .TXT extension to a .BAT

Double clicking on the file created will run the file as the logged on user, right click can run as Administrator or you can use right click - Properties to add a run as Administrator to the compatibility TAB

If you have a batch file that you wish to use regularly you cann create a shortcut, which can then have a more meaningful icon.

If you wish you can also create a schedule to run the Batch file at regular intervals, Once a week, Every time a user logs on Etc.

I've used the dism command before(after forum & internet search) to when having problems updating(code 8024402F), but it didn't help one bit, what helped was a batch file that reregisters the dll´s. Anyhow I just did a search on what exactly dism is/does and found this. Am I right in thinking it could be used like a package manager in debian? Do you think this is OneGet uses? Being an Ubuntu user since 2011 of course I have experience with sudo apt-get and how much faster it works than downloading-extracting-installing. Think about it: elevated command prompt>OneGet Ccleaner, and ´Bam it installs after being cleared through the AV or a checksum. If we could then make a repositories list maybe it would look like this: note with windows elevated command prompt there is no need for a sudo or equivelant
Code:
add-oneget-repository ppa:piriform
oneget update&&oneget upgrade&&oneget install ccleaner

Ok found oneget here at github. It's commands are different but the principal is still the same. But the big question will be "How secure will the repositories be? As secure as windows update? Then hell I´d be happy to test in the alpha and beta phases. I only have about (with java) 7 3rd party programs(2 are open source) all with their own updaters.
