Epson XP-405 download driver not working

I have a Epson XP-405 and it worked well on my other computer with windows 7.
Now I've windows 8.1, I've installed the printer with the CD.. the scanner works, but not the printer because of the driver..
Now I went to the Epson home page and downloaded the last driver download, I tryed to install it but it sayed "the printer driver software can not be installed"
I also tryed with a older version, the 7.0 version but it also doesn't works..
How can I do to use my printer??

Remove all and any printer drivers you already have installed.

And before trying to install the latest driver again, shut down ALL anti-virus software.

Then try again to install the latest printer driver.

I don't have the 405, but I do have the 410 and I've never had any problem installing the driver and software,
into any OS from XP to 8.1.
