WinToUSB - Install and Run Windows/WinPE on a USB drive!

Anyone tried the above program? I'm running it now and it seems to be stuck at 0% creating the USB windows to go. Anyway apparently it will create a bootable windows to go from any ISO, I'm trying 8.1 Pro Update 1, although may run into problems later when it comes to booting as I only have windows 8 pro key.

thoughts?

Tim

You'll have to buy a key for it then, that's all.

I was working on a Mac last night and it took at least 8 hours to move an Install DVD into a 16GB Flash Drive using the Disk Utility "Restore" function. As long as the process is continuing, just leave it running. Sometimes it takes hours especially if the image is over 4.7 Gig.

I use another program called ISO2USB or something like. Sometimes these programs work, sometimes not. I tried to make a bootable Mac installer with TransMac, but it did not create a bootable volume. So I formatted the drive to Bootable Mac from within the G4 I was working on and used the Disk Utility Restore function, it booted instantly once it was done. So it was worth waiting 8 hours for the drive to be copied. USB 1.0 I think.
