A possible notification center coming to next Windows

Thoughts?

Aren't there already desktop notifications if update and others are enabled from the action center?

Do you not use windows 8? There is no notification center if you miss a Facebook notification or a espn notification or a weather notification, etc.... If you miss is that's it. The notification just disappears off the screen.

Oh. Yes. Suppose facebook, twitter, etc,... would be cool for some.
Maybe this new thing would be a fix ?

I don't know about start screen live tile notifications.
They are banned from my pc.

Action Center.... I like it.

I don't care so much for notifications, honestly, this is something that third party developers need to just have on the live tiles for missed notifications and user to pin app tiles to the Start Screen. The fact that there is a need for a notification center to me states that either a) people aren't fully utilizing the Start Screen, b) developers aren't coding notifications onto the live tiles, c) combo of both. The Start Screen IS supposed to be your notification center. Look at what android and ios have. Then look at Windows Phone's Start Screen. Same things are being delivered, it just has more customizations of what "notifications" you want to see. I do like quick access to the radios, very nice.

Also, I call BS that you miss notifications on Windows 8 because of the same thing as Windows Phone, Start is your notification center. The little side toasts give you mention there is something new, but ultimately, the live tiles on Start tell you what's going on. If anything need improvement, it's the live tiles. If you don't have the app tiles pinned and not active, you might be doing it wrong.

This Cortana feature on Windows Phone 8.1 is something I'd like to see in action soon.

I really don't understand this logic at all. So if I am working on my PC (let's say a word doc) and everytime I get up from the desk I am supposed to close out of what I am doing and scroll thru the start screen live tiles to find out if I have a alert from mail, espn, twitter, Facebook, weather, games, etc...etc....?? C'mon man. That's silly.

Versus closing out of a word document to open up a notification panel? Same EXACT concept.

THAT, is silly. Start Screen and a notification center are one in the same.
