Opening a pdf file on many computers?

Is there a way to open a PDF file on many computers? I know I can access the same file by putting it in the cloud (dropbox etc) but I would like to be able to resave the file so my highlights are preserved.

Try pdfescape.com, online pdf editor and converter tools and allows you to save the modifed version of pdf files to any system.
