The world waxes and wanes. It is up to the future to decide and we wont be around for the reckoning

I agree to a point, however... weather events are getting more frequent and severe everywhere, earthquakes in places that have not experienced them in ages, wars, governments toppling, the list goes on.

I'm not saying I think the world will end soon... but if it is... I dont want to sit around and wait for it! I remember the boy scout motto... and I want to be prepared. Well, as prepared as I can afford to be! I will be buying a generator in the next year, and I will stock up on ammo, food, and water!

I can understand a generator, food and water if you live in a disaster prone area, but what on earth are you going to do with ammo.

To survive & fight/wound/kill, if necessary, to protect myself and my family.... Why else?

Nope... i live in the USA!

But if the world starts crumbling, society will also crumble and deteriorate to the point where I may have to fight to survive! Again, refer to the Boy Scout motto... "Be Prepared" Riots in recent years in several large cities around the globe, including in the U.S. have proven that the dregs of society will loot and steal to survive... and if it comes to that, I dont want the knife in the gunfight!

Sounds like a real doomsday scenario. Let's hope it will not come to that.
