How much is my pc worth?

This is your base budget gaming puter.

My assessment of it would be about at least $450 US. The stickler I have is the Pentium, and the 3 gigs of RAM. The hard drive size is pretty low, but it wouldn't matter if hard drive size isn't a big deal. Is it a 32 bit only system and/or is it running 32 bit Windows? And how old is the motherboard? DDR2 or DDR3 RAM? If it's DDR3, RAM upgrading is dirt cheap. If it's 64 bit Windows, maybe 470-500. DDR3 RAM, 450-480.

If it had water-cooling, over clocked, maybe more RAM, you could go for maybe 500-600.

If you're trying to sell it, I'd suggest saying the case is pretty upgradable. You have a micro-ATX board in a mid-tower ATX, which limits the SLI potential or even CrossFire, as it's a gaming tower.

$ 450 you must be kidding ? the only thing that have value is the 550 ti , and you can find used one for $ 60, it's a PIV 2.8 the kind they sell $ 25- 50 for the complete PC at Salvation Army. $ 450 will buy you a brand new Dell with a i3. look here it even has a Windows 8

Well then, let's reassess! :)

Seeing this now, I give it 300 tops. The case is decent, the PSU seems good, and Windows preloaded. What architecture is yet to be known. The motherboard was the part I was iffy on, I'm not too fluent with Intel chips other than knowing Pentiums are still being manufactured for the low end, don't know about their many sockets.

lol, how you come to the conclusion the PSU is good, we don't see the label, but I don't see PCI-e connector too, this lead me to think it's a very old PSU of a very cheap one. as for the Motherboard the model is show, a crapy ECS with a GeForce7050 chipset.

You will give $ 300, me $ 60, I will keep the GPU and trash the rest. And sorry but Pentium Prescott socket 775 are out of production since a long time

I say the PSU is good as it's 500 watts, but more details are needed.

Why would you chuck out the case? It's a decent mid tower ATX, with 4 fans for good airflow, which makes it great for a higher end gaming rig if the case is used. Depending on cosmetic condition, that could be 50-80. And it's two tone red and black, personally I would buy it since it's red and black as it would match with an ASUS ROG motherboard.

Seriously, for 100-120, I doubt you could just get the equivalent internal parts new, let alone the case and Windows.

I'd like to see the parts price list from Newegg or Amazon, with some depreciation factored in depending on how old it is, plus the cost of Windows.

I just bought an Intel 860 CPU, Gigabyte mb, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 2 DVD RW drives for $300 t give you idea how inexpensive new hardware is. I don't buy old hardware, if someone gives it to me, I rebuild systems and give them away to people who really can't afford, especially families with kids. I never sell the systems I rebuild.

Yes I agree, at the most.

CPU's like those I got a bunch in a box, unused after upgrades or outdated stuff.
Graphics is most recent there I guess. HDD is also good but pretty cheap these days.

Does anyone want an EVGA NVidia nforce 780 SLI? This board was pulled from a working system but has no RAM or CPU or IO shield. Just pay shipping and it's yours. It needs a Socket 775 CPU and DDR2 RAM (PC2-6400).
