    Win 8 is just win 7 SP-2 the knowledge is transferable more often than not. Plus you will pick up much by just reading here. We all are noobs @ win 8.

    Windows 7 Ultimate x64/Windows 8 Consumer Preview x64/Ubuntu 11.04


    I agree with Ken. You don't necessarily need the OS to learn about it, or even help others with it. Remember Google is your friend. But of course, having Win 8 would help too but you can always just use the Dev Preview.
