I find that Win7 picture a bit exaggerated though. I mean double shortcuts for Firefox, IE and some other items?
All those gadgets together eat a lot of startup time, you get double the boot time half the fun situations. :cool:

It's not that simple. 8 has not been designed as a tool for lazy people. It is a transitional OS that introduces a technology shift in OS coding that will eventually phase out the familiar desktop. Win32 and NT technologies will be replaced by WinRT and other more secure code, software and hardware platforms that are necessary to provide a safer and less error prone environment. App sales and cloud services are only an extension in the evolution of code technologies.
