Hey. I downloaded Windows 8 from MSDN a couple of days ago and have been getting blue screens ever since. I'm not sure why. I have tried formatting and re-installing, refreshing, repairing, I always eventually get a blue screen. Maybe 2 or 3 times a day.

Is there any way to figure out what is causing the bsod? I don't know how to examine a dump file

I have attached my dump files

New machine I'm guessing? It's your RAM here with that 32 GB. The bios is not set well for it. Set Optimized Defaults in it then save. If you are currently using AHCI mode, after saving, change that back to AHCI and save again.

Use CPU-Z to compare SPD tab to Memory tab, to make sure it is running in spec.

If all the memory modules are not perfectly matched to each other, only use one specific type and remove other modules permanently.

Check mobo manual for proper installation. Maybe you have a poor installation with regards to available slots.
Post any new crashes if they happen.

yes! New machine. Just built it a few weeks back. I'll change the settings now and post back tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip also. I've been spending the entire past 3 days trying to figure this out.

ps: how did you come to think it might be the ram? :)

I personally know all your drivers to be well, so none could be the possible culprit. You had 2 different types of bsod, unrelated to each other. 2 or more like that generally and basically lean towards RAM, since no individual driver continues to cause the same problem.

And 32 GB is probably rather sensitive to settings more so than an average machine.

Best of luck. Let us know... :)

You're welcome.
