Games crash midway through and sometimes BSOD occurs

Hey guys,

So i've had this build for a few months now. It is my first build. Here are the specs:

Intel Core i5-4690K
Zotac GTX 970
8GB Ram
Asus Z-97-A mobo
Windows 8.1

When i'm playing big games such as BF4 or GTA V, it likes to crash midway through the game constantly. I can play BF4 for a while before it crashes back to the desktop and i cannot play GTA for more than 10 minutes before it does the same. Sometimes these games even causes a BSODr. As well as, Crysis 3 just completely crashes and freezes my computer after a very short time of playing,

Also sometimes when i'm rendering a video in Sony Vegas Pro 13, i get a BSOD too.

I think it may be to do with my graphics card but i just can't quite put my finger on it. My GPU drivers are all updated.

Any ideas?

Edit, here is the DM file thing.

Hi it's not working for some reason. It says there is the zip file on my desktop and there's nothing there until i go to the actual desktop folder under This PC. And there is still nothing when i open the zip file. I have done it twice. Same thing happens.

Troubleshooting a counterfeit installation is useless as it is not known what has been modified to your system.
A counterfeit installation contains heavily modified code which causes the system to behave in unexpected ways.
For this reason, analyzing counterfeit systems is unreliable and most analysts won't try it.
I recommend to install a genuine copy of Windows.
If, after you have installed a genuine copy of Windows, you still get BSOD's we'll be happy to assist you.

STOP 0x00000124: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Usual causes:
Hardware, Incompatibility, May be driver corruption.
In multiple stacks was the mention of dxgmms1!VIDMM_GLOBAL and the processes are mostly all games.
Also many times was the mention of HAL(= Hardware Application Layer), this also mostly indicates hardware faillure.

All this points to a hardware related problem and as you suggested the culprit could be your GPU.

You could test your Videocard with Furmark FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net

Sometimes Gpu related problems could be triggered by a faulty or weak PSU.

We are talking about hardware, you can not fix broken hardware.

But as @axO has said you are probably are running illegal windows and according the forumrules we are not allowed to help you any further.

A 0x124 is almost always caused by
  • BIOS problems,
  • hardware (overclocking, dust, damaged cables, improper seated, damaged component, overheating, etc),
  • drivers
Due to this a 0x124 is a hardware error stop code.
