Surface Pro 3 BSOD overnight in docking station

    Thanks for the quick response.

    I don't use VPN.
    We use RSA security token for authentication and all devices on the network use Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) clients. So the device is always authenticated and checked by Cisco NAC for compliance.

    Are you seeing something related to VPN?

    Notice that for USB failure the
    FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: 0x9F_3_msu30x64w8_IMAGE_UsbHub3.sys
    seems to be related to network driver.

    I am leaning towards 3 possibilities:
    - bad docking station firmware
    - bad usbhub3.sys driver
    - bad docking station connector ..

    Anything else you can think of?

    No, but that was just the question.
    Sometimes an analysist doesn't see it while it is present, and a VPN might cause problems when it comes to network related problems.

    The usbhub3.sys driver is a Windows driver for the USB, not much chance it is the cause, but there is a chance.
    But no, I cannot add anything more as you have covered the options
