Hello guys,
I get a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE exception on my laptop. It happens under some conditions only.
When I do my regular work like running virtual machines, etc. I don't have any problems. However, when I run a game (StarCraft 2), after a short period of time the game slows down and what I can see in the task manager is a System process that consumes 20% of my processor's resources (process explorer shows that ntoskrnl.exe!IoGetAttachedDevice thread is doing something). The only thing I can do is to restart/shutdown the system (Windows 8.1 Pro) and this is when I get the BSOD.
I already updated most of the drivers but it did not really help much.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me to find the root cause of the exception.
