I have recently had a crash to the BSOD with the error of Kernel Security Check Failure shortly after logging on and getting to the desktop. I am trying to determine what might have caused this but haven't been able to, and would really appreciate any assistance I can receive on this front.

I have attached the dm_collect_log file as instructed.

Thank you for any and all help on this issue.

Hi thesureman,

Welcome to the 8forums.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

  1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
  2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
    • Double click the executable to open it
    • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

The crash was caused by a driver called cfosspeed6, it looks like a driver for your internet connection, but it could also be of a program.

Code:
1: kd> lmvm cfosspeed6start end module name

That driver is apparently associated with the xFAST LAN program. I uninstalled it, so that should hopefully deal with that.

Thank you!
