Recurring BSOD, Memory Problem? Help Me Format, Please

    Hello. o/
I just started a new job where I am the keeper of 27 computers. I'm not really a tech person, so please don't leave out steps. Let's get down to business.

I want to format a PC and reinstall Windows 8. It has a BSOD instead of starting Windows and I tried a few things a week or so ago. After checking BIOS to make sure the DVD/CD drive has first priority when booting, I popped the Windows 8 installation disc in; no effect. I burned a repair disc and slipped that in; no good. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool on Standard, Default cache, and 2 passes; no change. I didn't know what to do. I tried the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool a second time, but this time on Extended. I was out of the room when the process completed. I returned to find it back at the BSOD. I turned it off and went home. The following day I hit the power button and it booted up Windows and seemed to be fixed! Two days ago the same BSOD came back. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool on Extended, again, but this time Windows didn't start up when I rebooted.

It gives me several Error codes, one at a time, the one currently up is 0xc0000221, "a critical system driver is missing or contains errors. File:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys". I've also had ones which speak of bfad.sys and pool headers and irql not less or equal. My guess is it's some kind of memory problem or some virus made changes to system32, but what do I know?

Today I also reseated the RAM; no help.

Like I said, I want to format and reinstall. Since I can't get to the desktop and the installation disc and repair disc don't seem to work, how should I proceed?

I've been getting these pretty frequently for a few days now. I can't make rhyme or reason of what's causing it - best guess is a slowdown when I plug in. Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite, less than a year old. Thanks!

stuck in Windows Memory Diagnostic: motherboard or memory problem?
After my new build froze up during boot up into Windows 8, I tried to run Windows 8's built-in Windows Memory Diagnostic, extended setting, but it got stuck at 21% of 1st pass (10% overall) after running it overnight (at least 12 hours). I had 4x4GB memory modules, and re-ran this test with only...
