same here, still looking for an issue:)

I believe it's pointing to the nvidia driver, "nvrd64"... and some COM applications issues( i have them too)... am i right?:) (question to the experienced with event longs & crash dumps)

btw you can try that to get rid of distributedCOM errors( dunno if this help, not tried yet) In my event log error : DCOM application error - Microsoft Answers

Try this (it's a guess on my part)
Uninstall all nVidia software
Install the DRIVERS ONLY (a suggested procedure is here: nVidia Video Cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure )

Beyond that, update all drivers and software to the latest, Win7 compatible version (late 2009 or later).

hey. just updated the video drivers and the freezing issue hasn't happened again... at least not yet. however the driver keeps restarting. windows defender was not the culprit because I turned it off and installed kaspersky. it didn't freeze until i started updating. a curious thing. the computer doesnt freeze as long as the video is open. i am using splayer. the computer hasnt crash since i started doing this weird trick.
