Cannot click or do anything

I posted this in general but will post it here as well. My computer will randomly prevent me from being able to click on anything. I can still move the mouse around and even highlight and drag stuff. When I right click I see the highlight box, but it appears a bit slowly.

One interesting thing to note is that my hard drive is very loud(WD Raptor 150gb) and I can tell it stops working when this happens. Thinking that it might be the drive, I used the windows tool check it for errors. None where found, however I'm not gonna rule it out since its an old hard drive.

I left the computer on for a while and it doesn't solve it. Task manager won't open and if I try to log out the computer will lock up.

I can still ctrl + alt + del and I see the screen with options(which I CAN click). However clicking any option ends in a loop where nothing happens.

Anybody have an idea of what's causing this?

Added attachment.
System Specs:
Asus B75 Pro 3 Motherboard
Intel Core i5 3550 Ivy
8 GB Kingston HyperX (1600mhz but running at 1333 just to test the cause. So far its not the ram speed).

Using on-die GPU until my new video card arrives(intel 5,000).

well Cryosin,

I take it that you have more then one module in your pc, so maybe 2. Just remove one and see if it is gone. If not remove another one

Ya I took it out. Memtest showed an error on it so I think its faulty. So far I haven't had the problem happen with the good stick.

Motherboard manufacturer had an update that literally said "Windows 8 crashing bios update".

So far its working ill post if the problem persists.

Ok happened again. Seems to be occurring when I come back to the computer after leaving it on.

Very frustrating at this point. I've pretty much trouble-shooted all my hardware by now and I cant figure this out.

MSINFO32 shows that the drivers for these devices aren't installed. They can be the reason that your system is freezing:
PCI Simple Communications Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E3A&SUBSYS_1E3A1849&REV_04\3&11583659&0&B0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Not Available ACPI\INT33A0\0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
SM Bus Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E22&SUBSYS_1E221849&REV_04\3&11583659&0&FB The drivers for this device are not installed.
Visit the PC Manufacturer's website and install these drivers (most likely a part of the chipset drivers for your motherboard).

You had a STOP 0x141 BSOD on 29 May. It involves video drivers so I'd suggest:
- download a fresh copy of the latest Win8 video drivers from the Intel website ( http://downloadcenter.intel.com )

You have nVidia drivers installed, and MSINFO32 shows an Intel video card. What video card do you have installed?

More to follow later on - I'm late for work!!!!

AsRock Extreme Tuner, Riva Tuner and the XFastUSB/LAN stuff have had known issues in Win7. I'd suggest uninstalling all of them to see if that improves your problems.

Try clearing your temporary internet files as I see issues with WebCacheV24.dat in the application event log

Lot's of problems with BLR.exe (Blacklight Retribution). Please uninstall it to see if that helps.

Thank you for the post. I was using my CPU graphics but my radeon 7770 just came in(which I barely got the drivers working).

I uninstalled the Realtek Audio drivers and Xfast LAN, there was a windows update shortly after I uninstalled those programs, and so far this issue hasn't repeated itself. I don't know if the programs caused it or the update fixed it, but one of the two seem to have worked.
I'll update if anything changes.

Were you using an nVidia card prior to your new Radeon coming in?
The nvidia driver that RP comes with is bad. You must upgrade it to 301.42 for Win7 instead. Do not download the nVidia driver for Win8CP, that doesn't work on RP either, only 301.42 and above.
