Hi everyone, I just got a new PC and it has been BSODing several times.

DPC_Watchdog_Violation was the first one I got, but it was a long time back (a month?) and it hasn't came out since.

netio.sys was the one that can popping out recently randomly, while watching youtube or gaming.

I have attached the ZIP file as per the posting instructions.

Appreciate all the help. Thanks! :)

Sorry for my english as it's not my mother tongue.

PS: I had just updated my Killer 1525 drivers, and stopped the Killer Network Manager software from starting up, not sure if it will help.

Lets start by removing AVG.

Use Revo to uninstall it - Select Advanced Option > Select All/Delete (both scans)
Completely Uninstall Programs And More With Revo Uninstaller

Enable Windows Defender
http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/21962-windows-defender-turn-off-windows-8-a.html

See if that helps.

Your first BSOD referenced your Graphics card, but this was on 4-4-2015

We will wait for AVG to be gone to troubleshoot this.

Thanks for the reply,

I have uninstalled AVG now. Revo uninstaller could not pick it up, and I had to uninstall through add / remove programs.

Though is AVG really the cause of it? Why would it cause the BSOD, if it really is the cause?

What should my next step be? Are there any other drivers I have that are out-dated and I need to update etc?

Thanks!

PS: Windows defender was automatically turned on, it seems, after AVG uninstalled.

Im not exactly sure on all the technical reasons and a lot of times, AVG can actually cause no harm. However, when we start seeing BSOD's and AVG is present, its the first few things that needs to go.

Removing it via Add/remove programs may have not removed all of the files.

If any other problems pop up, it may be worth it to install it again and removing it with Revo (if it shows up) or with an AVG remover.

Your BSOD's are spread far apart so we may have to wait a while to know whether or not this was the fix.

AVG looks like it's passing bad pointers.
It's impossible to say exactly whether that's the case, due to having only a minidump.

The instruction was to move data from the address stored in the RDI register, to the RDI register directly.
We don't know whether the contents are actually null, or whether the context simply isn't saved, most likely the latter.

Out of the blue, I just reinstalled windows 8.1. Hopefully this fixes something.

Though why are my drivers (video, wireless card, etc) all still retained even though during reinstallation, I selected "keep nothing"?

Thanks!
