Bsod, bad pool caller error

Hello, earlier today I had two BSODs, pretty much minutes after each other. I have no idea what's causing them, but I've dug out two .dmp files that's attached to the post. I hope that you're able to help me :)

Cheers,

~ Denieru

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

Do you still need help with this problem?
I will be notified if you reply to this topic and will respond within 48 hours.

Hello, sorry for the late reply as well, I had kind of given up >_>. The BSOD hasn't occoured anytime since I posted this, but I'd still like to know what caused it, and find a possible fix, to prevent it from happening in the future :)

Not a problem, it's understandable.

As there are only 2 memory dumps and none of the other reports requested in the pinned topic at the top of the forum, the analysis will tend to be a bit sketchy and uncertain.

Both of the memory dumps point to networking issues. But that may just be a distraction as the most likely cause that I can see is Daemon Tools. It is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems. Here's my canned speech about it:
Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen both dtsoftbus01.sys and dtscsibus.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).

Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Hello again. Since reading your reply, I've had two other cases of BSODs. I did not try your solution yet, but I will after posting this. I've now followed the instructions mentioned in the top post, and attached the relevant files for the other BSODs. If they yield the same result as the previous ones, with daemon tools being the problem, that's all good for me, but they may show other issues, hence I'm requesting an analysis of these reports.

Your UEFI/BIOS dates from early in 2014. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please visit the manufacturer's website and use their tool to update the BIOS from within Windows.

Your C: drive has about 13% free space - this is a bit full (but is probably not related to the BSOD's). I'd take the time to clean out the drive so that you don't start seeing performance issues.

Be sure that you have ALL available Windows Updates - there are lot's of Windows Updates failures in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report. If the problems continue, please post over in the http://www.eightforums.com/windows-updates-activation/ for further expert assistance with this issue.

From looking at the reports, Daemon Tools is still the most likely cause - and the memory dumps tend to support this (as the Daemon Tools driver is present in the memory dumps). Please remove it and see if that stops the BSOD's:

Your UEFI/BIOS dates from early in 2014. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please visit the manufacturer's website and use their tool to update the BIOS from within Windows.

Your C: drive has about 13% free space - this is a bit full (but is probably not related to the BSOD's). I'd take the time to clean out the drive so that you don't start seeing performance issues.

I checked my bios, and it is the most recent version.

As for my C: drive, I've cleared out around 70gb from various temporary files and the paper bin. After that i did check how much space the different files on my C: drive was taking up (Right clicking ALL folders (even the hidden one) and checking their total space), and it was around 250gb. Yet still right clicking the C: drive and checking the space usage, it claims it's around 450gb. Any clue what could be taking up 200 gb that I'm not able to detect?

Turns out my "System Volume Information" folder is taking up 140 gigs of space alone. What is this folder used for, and should i be careful about deleting things in it?
