Hi,

It's your Razer causing issues. Recommend to throw it away then replace it with something else. This will save you massive headaches now and in the future, because the company makes some of the poorest drivers ever.

In addition, it's probably a good idea to uninstall Teamviewer until all issues are cleared.

You can visit Realtek's site to download/install the HD Audio Codec Driver on the right side of their main page.

GMan, thank you for your input, i will try and use some other keyboard for some time and reply back if this changes anything.

With the above advice completed, you'll be happy. Otherwise, the machine is in great condition software-wise. Best of luck.

Edit: As I always do, I was just double checking things for you. This is the first time I've even seen the actual name of the hardware but NOT using the proprietary driver. Very weird.

Code:

So you'll want to head over to Intel.com to download and install the latest Rapid Storage driver for your chipset.

The above advice still applies all the same.

Right, Windows 7 iaStor.sys driver needs to be installed. :)

Alright, I changed my razer keyboard for some random analog keyboard and freezes still continued. I usually have chrome open when those freezes happen. And about the iaStor.sys, i cannot manage to install it because setup program always says my system doesnt meet the requirments even when in compability mode.

I'm really starting to suspect something may be up with Chrome. I've noticed that since switching back to Firefox I hardly ever see a freeze anymore. Given that the issue seemed to correspond with my OS drive going to 100% use but 0 kb read or write, I'm thinking it is doing something with it's cache that is not Win 8 friendly...
