Hello again,
I've reinstalled windows 8.1 since the previous crashes and it was okay for a while. But recently playing a bit more and I get bsod's again. I know I have tunngle installed but we use that to play, I really hope that isn't the reason I get these bluescreens now.

Thanks in advance

Kindly remove the OpenVPN as it's driver is very old.

Now, one of the dump files was the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT (0x101) but sadly since this is a minidump file, I was not able to extract meaningful information from it. Also, since you have been experiencing the issue even after a reinstall of the operating system, there is a strong possibility that we are dealing with a case of hardware failure.

I would suggest you to run the below hardware diagnostics (thanks Usasma!) -
http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Also, kindly run the Intel Burn Test and report back with the results -

Let me know how everything goes ^_^

Hello, I've had this problem before on my previous install. And have ran memtest and disk tests without any errors. (testing ram one stick at a time).
Also gpu and cpu stresstests seem to do nothing to my system.
The crashes seem to happen mostly during long game sessions, but not long stresstests. :(
I have uninstalled the old tap driver and ran the tests you recommended with no bsod occurring.
I'll see if the system stays stable without the tapdriver installed then.

I've also noticed there was a warning message and an unrecognized device that didn't show up in device manager correctly. I removed it and will see if I get any bsod's still with this setup.

Thanks for the help :thumb:

Hi Catblaster ^_^,

That seems strange. Do the crashes happen only on certain game(s) ?

In case of any further problems, kindly upload a freshly generated Diagnostic ZIP file with your next post so that it could be analysed.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Hello again,
So It just bsod again while watching some streams and playing a light unity browser game, which hasn't happened before.
I really have no idea what it is now, I attached the new file.

Problem is I can't really test this with running stresstests... it crashes at random and after a long time sometimes. So if it crashes after lets say.... a 20 hour gpu stress test.. it wouldn't really tell me anything :(
Cause so far it hasn't crashed on just a few hours of stresstesting gpu, cpu, ram or just a benchmark test.
Seems to just come at random

EDIT: crashed again, this time only watching a stream and browsing. added new file with all

Solved, for now

So I read up about my error codes, saw a lot of things about usb drivers messing up.
And I've had this backup drive I have on every now and then for movies and music, it keeps disconnecting and connecting randomly. Thinking back to it I could trace most crashes to a moment where I forgot to unplug the backup drive and left it in.

Remembering to not keep the somewhat defective backup drive plugged in, I haven't had a bsod since

Thanks for your time and help though, it was much appreciated

Hi Catblaster ^_^,

I am really sorry for the delayed response. I have been busy with university :(

That is excellent news. Faulty external drives can cause various kinds of problems. Thanks for posting back the solution. This will help the future visitors :)

Kindly mark this thread as solved. In case of any further problems, please do not hesitate to post back.
