BSOD / App Crash while using IE or media player Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, and Windows Explorer have been crashing often, An exception error has caused BSOD. All MS Updates have been installed, including optional. Since the fc's began I have updated the drivers using driver booster 2 (which updated 8 intel chipset drivers), and from the gateway site, downloaded and updated the BIOS. Since then I have not had another BSOD but windows media player and IE continue to crash. I installed a different music player and it hasn't crashed since I began using it, but I returned to windows media player to rip a cd and after a few minutes it crashed again. The .dll error it gave yielded no causes or fixes. Any help will be much appreciated.
Edit: Just tried running checkdisk and it's been stuck at 11% for nearly 3 hours now. Not sure what else I can do. Appreciate any help.

Hi Charles17 & welcome to the forums ^_^,

Unfortunately, the ZIP file uploaded by you does not contain any Dump files for me to analyse. Although the Event Logs say that there have been bugchecks in which the dump file was saved at the location - "C:\Windows\Memory.DMP". Kindly ZIP up this file and upload it to some 3rd party file hosting services like OneDrive, Google Drive, Mediafire etc (Because of upload restrictions on forums).

Make sure that you ZIP up the file since it is possible that the file may be big.

Till then, I would suggest you to run the SFC and follow the below canned speech (Thanks usasma!) -
    Here's the DISM stuff:

Then please run the following DISM commands to see if there's any problems with the system (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after each one:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
If the problem is fixable, you can use this command to repair it (from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt). Press Enter after typing it:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
From this article: Repair a Windows Image

Once this is done, also run sfc.exe /scannow from an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt to check for further corruption.

Let me know how everything goes ^_^
