That is from blue screen viewer obviously.

BSOD happens randomly. However when I get in heavily populated areas it happens more. I think it may be a heating issue. Updated all drivers recently with Driver Magician and double checked with Driver Booster 2. Also ran sfc /scannow and fixed 2 problems. Multiple dmp files so I'd start with the latest 2-3 since I did all that.

Hi TribalJake & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (3b)
An exception happened while executing a system service routine.
Code:
6: kd> knL

0d 00000000`0952e068 00000000`00000000 0x778078fa
So, we can see that the DirectX called the adapter to acquire shared resources. But, well it kept on waiting for the resources and ultimately did not get them :( . This caused the system to crash.

Below is a list of 3rd party drivers present on your system -

Kindly follow the below steps -

  1. Even I think that this might be an overheating issue. Please run the FurMark test using the below guide and report back the temperatures while running the FurMark test.

    FurMark download site
    : http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ (appears to be bundled w/bloatware now - 12 Aug 2014)
Try downloading from one of the major download sites. Here's a link to it at Major Geeks (as of 12 Aug 2014): http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/furmark.html
    FurMark Setup:
    - If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
    - In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test (Looks like it's "BURN-IN test" now)
    - Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
NOTE: Set the alarm to go off at 90ºC. Then watch the system from that point on. If the system doesn't display a temperature, watch it constantly and turn it off at the first sign of video problems. DO NOT leave it it unmonitored, it can DAMAGE your video card!!!
If the temperature gets above 100ºC, quit the test - the video card is overheating.
    - Click "Quit" to exit

    What you are looking for:
    - excessive heat from the GPU (report back with anything over 90ºC)
    - problems with the video display (picture is distorted or jumbled, picture turns black, etc)
    - problems reported by the program (I haven't seen this, but "just in case")

    Dual Video Cards:
Some tips for dual (or more) video cards:
[TIPS] How to Enable SLI and CrossFire Support for OpenGL Applications | Geeks3D
(Tips) How To Enable SLI and CrossFire Support for MSI Kombustor 2.0 | Geeks3D

If it still doesn't work, test the cards individually.
  2. Please update the drivers highlighted in RED.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Currently running the test. Maxed out at 85 so far but it's only been going 6 mins. Should I use it in full screen or leave it at the default?

Updated one of the drivers and ran the program full screen and it got to 88 then nosedived to 83 like the other. The logitech drivers are not working for me.

Happened again in the same area it usually happens in. New log for someone to check out and compare to the others. Tried to install a logitech but I don't think it changed anything.

Hi TribalJake ^_^,

I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints the driver/function that caused the problem.
Code:
4: kd> .exr 0xffffd001ab5e9738
ExceptionAddress: fffff80089ebb13e (nt![COLOR=#FF0000][B][U]KxWaitForLockOwnerShip[/U][/B][/COLOR]+0x0000000000000012)
   ExceptionCode: c0000005 (Access violation)
  ExceptionFlags: 00000000
NumberParameters: 2
   Parameter[0]: 0000000000000000
   Parameter[1]: ffffffffffffffff
Attempt to read from address ffffffffffffffff

So, the system was waiting for taking an exclusive lock on a resource so that it could be modified which means it meant to write to the address which was bad sadly :(
Hence, the system got tired of waiting indefinitely to get a lock on the bad resource and hence crashed. An analogy in this case would be if a person is trying to lock the door of a house which does not exist. I sometimes do give weird analogies :0)

This is strange isn't it? 88 Degree Celsius is quite a lot of temperature. Is the system crashing while playing some other game?
I would suggest you to try and aim a table fan directly at the Graphics card and see if the system still crashes or not at that point of the game. Have you searched around if the crash is being caused in only that game?

Let me know how it goes ^_^

I have a small personal fan pointed at my processor but it's not pushing a whole lot of air. I'm going to get some more fans but I don't know what one to get exactly. Like do I need a new heatsink/fan or do I need to get a bunch of fans pointed all in there?

Errr i Mean do I need one for the processor or more for my graphics card? It's a 770 gtx card and 8 core processor

Hi TribalJake ^_^,

A single table fan should be more than enough to check it out whether it is really the overheating problem or not. Just open the case and then point the fan and see if the system is stable or not.

Got my new heatsink and fans installed and maxed everything out with streaming and no crashes or anything. Thanks for the help.

My old heatsink compared to the new one and the fan.

Hi TribalJake ^_^,

Yay! Glad to hear that the issue has been resolved. Your old fan looks dusty.
In case of any further problems, please do not hesitate to post back ^_^.
