BSOD event 41, Kernel-Power

Hi guys,

I have been facing an issue with my computer in the past months. Sometimes I get a BSOD with 3 variations of names: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK, FAILURE and sometimes MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. I already downloaded all the updates for my OS. And also, sometimes my sound freezes repeating constantly a milisecond of a sound. I already refreshed system also and did most of solutions I found on internet, but none seems to solve so I decided to post my minidump files attached.

Hope someone can solve this annoying stuff.:(View attachment 59165

System One

  • OS
    Windows 8.1
Please Uninstall Norton with this tool: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
Test your RAM: RAM - Test with Memtest86+ - Windows 7 Help Forums
one stick at a time eight passes per stick
I would suggest you to uninstall the currently installed nVidia Driver using the Display Driver Tool from this **LINK**. Once it has removed the drivers, reinstall the latest drivers from the nVidia Website and see if the crashes persist or not.

Ok, Norton removed and now I installing nvidia again. btw, the problem can not be with my other graphic card, Intel? And the solution with the RAM testing, I will wait to do it overnight since I saw it takes lot of time.

Yes, it can, but I wanted to test nVidia first because it's more likely to be the problem.
Yes, RAM testing is a very time consuming process.

Well, I reinstalled nVidia and it crashed just a minute ago. And also, this memtest has no version for Windows 8.1, that a problem?

I suspected that's going to be the case because the dumps were pointing to that as well. Could you test your GPU with FurMark?

FurMark download site
: FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net (appears to be bundled w/bloatware now - 12 Aug 2014)
Try downloading from one of the major download sites. Here's a link to it at Major Geeks (as of 12 Aug 2014): Download FurMark - MajorGeeks
FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test (Looks like it's "BURN-IN test" now)
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
NOTE: Set the alarm to go off at 90ºC. Then watch the system from that point on. If the system doesn't display a temperature, watch it constantly and turn it off at the first sign of video problems. DO NOT leave it it unmonitored, it can DAMAGE your video card!!!
If the temperature gets above 100ºC, quit the test - the video card is overheating.
- Click "Quit" to exit
[/quote]
What you are looking for:
- excessive heat from the GPU (report back with anything over 90ºC)
- problems with the video display (picture is distorted or jumbled, picture turns black, etc)
- problems reported by the program (I haven't seen this, but "just in case")

Your GPU couldn't have reached a 100 C temperature because then your system would have automatically shut down, but even if it did get over 90 degrees it's too high, you should clean out the dust from your case and the fans of your GPU. Is this a laptop? I mean since you have two GPU's? If it is, then you can't download from the Intel website but from your laptop's manufacturer site.

Nevermind, I installed the memtest on my drive but, when I reboot with the drive plugged, it just starts windows normally. I already went to BIOS to change the priority and put USB HDD, FDD and CD as the first priorities in sequence but still nothing. ):
