I've been getting these BSOD for months on every startup or restart. At first I could avoid them by unplugging the power cord of the laptop, but now I even experience several of them suddenly, not only on start/restart. I read it could be the Bluetooth driver, I installed several versions of the driver, I've reinstalled Windows, but I keep getting them.

I don't know if it's related to it, but I realized today I can't find the graphics card in the system

Thank you for your help.

Oh look! It is the NVIDIA Display driver causing the trouble :( . For laptops, it is strongly advised to use the drivers provided by the manufacturers of the laptops since they do special tweaking to the drivers so that the internal and external graphics can be switched so as to give performance and battery life when required.

Kindly remove the currently installed NVIDIA Driver using the Display Driver Uninstaller from this **LINK**. Once it has finished removing the driver, please do a system restart. After this, install the NVIDIA Driver from this link -

Let me know how it goes ^_^

I can't believe it was just that... After several restarts I should have gotten a BSOD as usual but nothing so far :D

Thank you so much!! I'll wait until tomorrow for marking it as solved, just in case.

Hey Emurion ^_^,

It seems I forgot linking the Display Driver Uninstaller. In case you still need it, I have edited my original post to reflect the same.

Glad to hear that you are not getting any BSODs. In case the problem is solved, please mark this thread as SOLVED ^_^.

I got two BSODs in a row :(, a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and a VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR.

I leave a new .zip in case you can see something else.

Just a quick note.
Blueelvis has gone to a conference for a few days.
I'll follow up with you if he isn't able.

Only about 5% free space on your F: drive. Please ensure that you have at least 15% free space in order for Windows to perform background tasks. If the hard drive is big enough, you can get away with as little as 10% free space without seeing any problems with performance.

This device has problems in Device Manager (the drivers aren't installed):
Controladora de vídeo 3D PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11E2&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_A1\4&298C8309&0&0008 Los controladores de este dispositivo no están instalados.
Please ensure that you install the latest Win8.1 compatible drivers for your nVidia video controller from the MSI website.

Please uninstall the MiniTool Partition Wizard software from your system. It's driver (pwdrvio.sys) dates from 2009 and is likely not compatible with Win8.1

Beyond this, as there isn't a definite cause stated in the reports from the upload, I have these 4 suggestions:
1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
2. Get ALL available, Win8.1 compatible updates from the manufacturer's (MSI) website.
3. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
4. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Windows Update shows an error when installing the Intel Graphics driver. The rest of updates are installed now. There's no malware and there's enough free space now.

The nVidia driver "uninstalls" itself alone, that's the problem. When I uninstall both nVidia and Intel with DDU and reinstall them again, it only lasts a couple of days (or restarts) before the BSOD showing up and the system saying there's no nVidia driver.

I ran Memtest with 7 passes and no errors, but I find it easier reinstalling the drivers than running all those other tests...

Thank you very much for your help anyway, usasma :)

Are you installing both graphics drivers from the MSI website?
It's common for PC manufacturer's to modify the drivers so that they will work with the switching software that the manufacturer provides.
Do not use the drivers from the Intel or nVidia websites.

It's your choice about running the diagnostics. Good luck to you.

I come back to you because now I can't get rid of them, not even uninstalling the drivers with DDU and reinstalling them again (from the MSI website) because the NVIDIA installer can't find the graphic card.

Thank you
