Hi,

The BSOD is happening constantly. Driving me NUTS. I ran Whocrashed and it comes back with

file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\l1c63x64.sys
product:
Qualcomm Atheros Ar81xx series PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet
Controller

company: Qualcomm Atheros Co., Ltd.

This used to happen previously but stopped when I changed the driver to version 2.0.0.4 but I cannot find this driver anywhere. The current driver is 2.1.0.21. Find some Minidumps and system details attached. Any help much appreciated:mad:

While waiting for a reply, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

AFAIK, there aren't any later drivers for this ethernet card. Unfortunately, these drivers pre-date the Win8.1 release and may not be fully compatible with 8.1 (this is just a hunch on my part - I have no evidence to back it up). The easiest way to test would be to try another ethernet card - they're about $10 US and it's always handy to have a spare in case your network card dies.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thanks for your quick response, much appreciated. I ran driver verifier and have attached the dump file.
It crashed almost immediately after reboot just on logon screen and repeated this on every reboot. verifier is now disabled.
The PC Unfortunately does not have any slots to try an external network card or anything else for that matter.
The mother board is APXD1-DM. I think I removed all the apps with the problem drivers you highlighted.
Think I might have to take a hammer to PC...

There are USB to ethernet adapters - but they cost more than just a NIC card (about $30 US)

Interestingly, this does not appear to be a Driver Verifier enabled memory dump. Please rerun the data collection app and follow the instructions to upload all the reports (I hope to find info on the crashes in the event logs and MSINFO32): http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html
