Windows 8 random freezes?

Hello, I previously had problems with BSOD which were resolved by the user GMan :D.

However I am still encountering random freezes which can only be resolved by manually holding the power on/off button. I am not recieving any BSOD but I still have attached the files gathered by the BSOD tool.

I am experiencing problems with like this thread: http://www.eightforums.com/crashes-debugging/6111-random-freezes.html

The .dmp files can be ignored because they were associated with my BSOD problems (or maybe they will be useful, I'm not sure).

Thanks for any help in advance.

Thanks for the help, I thought it had fixed it but it has come back :(.

The freeze only seems to happen when I'm on Google Chrome and when I try ctrl+alt+del to try and end some processes, the mouse just freezes and a little "beep" noise sounds and then everything is completely frozen.

None of them seemed to fix my problem . When Google Chrome crashes, everything else crashes too. I can't click of any of the other programs. When I open a new tab I can't actually see the new tab but I know a new one has been opened. I can type in the new tab but when I press enter nothing happens...

You're welcome to post new zip.

Clear LSOs: AdobeClearFlash

Clean the junk files on the machine with Ccleaner.

Not a cop-out - we'll make Chrome work well if really wanted - but I highly recommend uninstalling it for a million reasons and using Firefox instead.

Just out of interest, why would you recommend firefox over chrome?

Good job.

If you know which codec pack or other software installed it, uninstall to get rid of it. Maybe you have Bandicam installed with it? If you don't, then delete the file then reboot, instead.

Great, it seems like this problem will be solved, but just one small problem. What you said has just gone over the top of my head? I didn't understand a thing . A codec pack? Huh? Could you explain in really simple terms what to do? Sorry for being a bother haha thanks!

I did, I installed it about a week ago but I uninstalled it about 3 days ago because I preferred Fraps.
