I am running Windows 8.1 with all updates (including graphics etc.). When trying to put my Dell XPS 15 9530 to sleep (most of the time) I get BSOD. I am attaching mini dump file. Please be so kind and let me know your analysis so I can take care of this annoying problem. Thank you very much.

I apologize for not responding sooner.
Do you still need help with this?

Lot's of BSOD's due to wifi - but no memory dumps were uploaded.
Please:
Upload Dump Files:
NOTE: If using a disk cleaning utility, please stop using it while we are troubleshooting your issues.
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service. Then post the link to it in your topic so that we can download it.

Also, search your entire hard drive for files ending in .dmp, .mdmp, and .hdmp. Zip up any that you find and upload them with your next post.

Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDumpMore info on dump file options here: Overview of memory dump file options for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2

Also, please provide this report:
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

FYI - If we're looking for Event ID 41 errors (unexplained shutdowns), there's more info on that here: Windows Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2

A couple of things from the Admin log:
- uninstall iTunes - to include the Bonjour stuff. Then check the Admin log to be sure the Bonjour errors have stopped, then feel free to download/install the latest, Win8.1 compatible version of iTunes.
- update Bluetooth drivers to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version - some Win8 versions don't work well on 8.1
- download the latest, Win8.1 compatible version of the Intel Proset Wireless drivers. Then uninstall the current version from your system and install the freshly downloaded version.
- uninstall the True Color program as it's spitting a lot of errors also. If needed, download the latest, Win8.1 compatible version and install it after the system has been stabilized.

Please uninstall MalwareBytes. It may be conflicting with your Norton. Should you want to reinstall it, make sure you DO NOT install the trial version of the PRO version of MalwareBytes (that's the version that loads it into memory at startup - which may cause conflicts with the Norton).

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

NetGroup Packet Filter Driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=npf.sys

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

The drivers that are [DEL]struckout[/DEL] don't have updates available (AFAIK).
DO NOT delete them, just leave them be.

Hi usasma,
I did everything you suggested and, at the moment everything seems to be stable and I do not have any problems when putting the laptop to sleep/wake up. I cross my fingers and hope it will last.
Thank you very much for all your help.
Ludovit
