Hello, people.

When I boot up my laptop running W8 Consumer Preview, I keep getting this BSoD before the lock screen appears. The computer restarts and then I can log in as usual.
I think it may be my Antivirus, but I am not sure.
My logs are here: link
I hope this issue gets solved soon and my thanks in advance.

Best regards

Hi,

No, it's not the antivirus.

It's your SIS driver. Update it if at all possible:

Code:
0: kd> lmvm sisgrkmd
start end module name
9283a000 928b2000 SISGRKMD T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: SISGRKMD.sys
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\SISGRKMD.sys
    Image name: SISGRKMD.sys
    Timestamp: Thu May 06 01:27:54 2010 (4BE2535A)
    CheckSum: 00078346
    ImageSize: 00078000
    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4

Since this may not be able to be updated since it may be the latest, a good motherboard bios update is recommended in addition here. Set Optimized Defaults in it then save too, after.

I made a new post because it is separate from the above:

1) Update Realtek HD Audio driver from Realtek's site:

Code:
RTKVHDA RTKVHDA.sys Mon Jul 20 07:15:20 2009 (4A6451C8)

2) Update Realtek lan driver from Realtek's site:

Code:
RTL8187B RTL8187B.sys Tue Mar 24 03:03:18 2009 (49C885B6)

(Type in 8187b in the download search, after clicking on Downloads link on the main page. Then look to software link.)

3) Update for sure if possible also:

SiSGB6 SiSGB6.sys Thu Feb 26 04:41:41 2009 (49A663D5)
SISAGPX SISAGPX.sys Wed Jan 24 02:01:26 2007 (45B70446)

4) Update Synaptics (there is update):

92893000 928c9380 SynTP SynTP.sys Thu Aug 27 21:59:32 2009 (4A973A04)
