BSOD playing guild wars; please see photos

I recently built a new PC (a couple months ago). Since its inception I've had errors with BSOD and crashes in game. Mainly Guild wars 2, but has also crashed while playing others. Sometimes it crashes to desktop with an error reading, "memory at address (string of numbers and sometimes a letter) could not be read." If I don't get the crash to desktop with that error, I get a blue screen with white streaks through it. I believe it is a BSOD because after it crashes to said screen the PC reboots. It looks like this. View attachment 56723

Due to the error message I continually get from guild wars, which is quoted above, I assumed it was my ram; however, after running memtest for 9 hours and multiple passes, no errors. I have also reseated the ram and gpu, uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and drivers for my hardware.

I have attached the zip file of my last two BSOD minidump files.

My PC specs are as follows:
XFX Double D R9-270X-CDFC Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-B

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0GHz (4

MSI 990FXA-GD65V2 Desktop Motherboard - AMD 990FX

HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DD

Intel 530 Series SSDSC2BW120A4K5 2.5" 120GB SATA I

Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB Cache SATA - OEM

RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V

I will be truly grateful if someone could help me diagnose and solve these problems.

Let me know if there is any other information you would need to see.

We see that in one of the dump files, the crash occurred when DirectX was destroying the allocations. In the other dump file, there was one-bit corruption involved. We could be looking at RAM failure or the Video-Ram failure (Graphics Card failing).
But, before that, kindly follow the below steps -

  1. Please remove any MSI Software present on your system. Also make sure that there is no trace of the drivers highlighted in RED on your system. You can check this by doing a manual system-wide search for the driver name. If you find one, just rename it to "NTIOLIB_X64bak.sys".
  2. Please rename the AODDriver2.sys located at the path - "Location: C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Fuel\amd64\AODDriver2.sys"
  3. If you are still facing problems, kindly start with the free diagnostics over here (Start with Memtest and then Furmark first) - http://carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Let me know how it goes ^_^

First, thank you for taking the time to help.

What do i rename AODDriver2.sys to?

I have run memtest for 9-12 hours with multiple passes and zero failures.

If it is my v-ram, what are my options?

Thanks again!

Hi Notorious ^_^,

You can rename the driver to "AODDriver2bak.sys". Did you remove the MSI Software and the driver highlighted in RED in my previous post?

If it is your Video Ram, then the only option is to change the Video Card. But, as of now, I would not suggest buying the Video Card.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

So far so good on getting the BSOD once making the changes you advised. However, still crashing to desktop in the game I play most. Please see the crash dump text below, does this lead you to believe a vram issue too? Or can you not tell from this crash report?

THanks!

View attachment 57553After following all instructions, still getting BSOD. I will attach the new zip file to see whether it looks to you all to be the same problem. Please let me know at your earliest convenience. Again thank you so much for helping me through this.

Update your Realtek PCI/PCIe Adapters and drivers in red. Have you tested your RAM sticks separately for eight passes each?

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install". Reboot for changes to take affect.
