Solved BSOD when putting laptop to sleep.

Yesterday I put my laptop to sleep by closing the lid like I normally do and when I woke up it was powered off. The last few days though every time I did that it put it into hibernation(im pretty sure). I made sure that wasn't in the settings. It is set to sleep when I close the lid. I have all windows updates. I appreciate any help. I never saw the BSOD but when I opened my laptop and it was turned off I checked for a minidump and there was one for today.View attachment 55938

IMO this is most likely due to your Virtual Box networking adapter (I had similar problems with my installation of Virtual Box and had to disable it - but I do not use hibernation/sleep). But it is possible that it's due to the wireless networking drivers also.

The memory dump implies (but does not name) the Virtual Box networking components.
On my system I disabled "Virtual Box Host-Only Ethernet Adapter" in the Network Adapters section of Device Manager

Also, you have both BitDefender and MalwareBytes running. You should not have more than one antivirus or one firewall running at the same time (I also noticed that you have Comodo installed) Please uninstall MalwareBytes and Comodo. Should you reinstall MalwareBytes, be sure not to check the MalwareBytes Pro Trial - as that's what causes it to load at startup.

Should you reinstall MalwareBytes, be sure not to check the MalwareBytes Pro Trial - as that's what causes it to load at startup.

hmd.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

I don't have comodo installed :| I uninstalled it a while ago. I uninstalled malwarebytes. I can't find a remover for Comodo. Disabling the virtual box host only ethernet adapter would disable internet for my virtual machines right? Or is there a different way to get internet on a virtual machine?

Don't worry about Comodo for now - I just saw an entry related to it and was concerned.

I disabled it (the Virtual Box network adapter) on my system and I still have internet connectivity (I have VM's for WinXP, Vista, Win7, Win8, Win8.1, and Win10). I use the Win 8/8.1/10 VM's regularly.
Give it a try and see if it works for you. If not, you can always re-enable it as you need it.
Also, you can test with it disabled to see if that helps stop the errors.
Or, you can post over in the Virtual Box forums for more detailed assistance.

Good luck!

Ok :)
Thank you very much for your help. (Pretty sure you were the person who helped me the first time when I had a lot of problems) I'll post back here if the BSODs don't stop. Thanks again :)
