hal.dll is sort of the communicator between Windows and the hardware - when I see it in dump files (NOT when I see it in BlueScreenView) I wonder about hardware or compatibility problems.
ntoskrnl.exe is the kernel (core) of the operating system. if it was to blame, you'd see a lot more problems other than the occasional BSOD (it's a protected operating system file also).
And as for the nvlddmkm.sys, it is associated with your nVidia video card but that doesn't mean that it's a problem. Most everything that you use runs through the video at one point or another.
Finally, with BSOD's the old advice was to wait and see if you got another. At times the first one can trigger repair routines and they won't recur.
So, let's have a look at the reports and see where to go from there......
MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner (along with EVGA Precision) is known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install them immediately!
If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.
Please uninstall the Asus AI Booster, the Asus Hardware Monitor, and the Asus AI Charger software. Their drivers date from well before Win8.1 was released. If you can't uninstall them, then uninstall the Asus AISuite3 software.
As the memory dump does blame the nvlddmkm.sys driver - please do the following:
- download a fresh copy of the latest, Win8.1 compatible video drivers from the nVidia support page (
Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers )
- uninstall the current nVidia drivers from your system
- install the freshly downloaded drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's
