Hope someone can help me on this one! I just started getting this BSOD when I try to put my computer to sleep after using it for awhile. But just after rebooting it works just fine. I can not put it to sleep and at times it will affect the complete shutdown also. Attached is the info zip file that was created. I have a ASUS Laptop with Windows 8.1 with the latest updates. Thanks

Hi TJisRet & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

I am extremely sorry for the delayed response :(
I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-

It seems that your Realtek RTL8168 Gigabit Ethernet controller's driver is causing the problem here. Let's check the driver's date -
Code:
0: kd> lmvm rt630x64
start end module name

More than a year old. I would suggest you to update this driver ASAP. If no update is present at the manufacturer of the laptop, kindly check at Realtek's website :)

Let me know how it goes ^_^

It's Back

Hope you get this but my troubles has come back the same thing all over again! It was good for one day or so but then it started again. I uploaded a new Info Zip file the crashes on the 10 and 11 of Dec was before I upgraded the Realtek Network Driver but the ones date on the 13th of Dec are after the Driver upgrade. Could you please look at this again and see if you can find something else out? This is getting madding! :(

The Tunnel.sys driver is blamed here which is a part of Windows and hence chance of it being at fault is extremely less. Kindly follow the below instructions, one step at a time and then playing the waiting game -

  1. Kindly remove NetGroup Packet Filter by WinPcap since it's driver is extremely old.
  2. Kindly remove all of your ASUS Bloatware which is present on the system.
  3. Kindly remove your Netgear Genie software and see if it stops the BSOD or not.
  4. In case the problem is still not solved, kindly remove your Norton using this **TOOL**. Once you uninstall Norton, make sure that you turn on Windows Defender. Once the system has stabilised, you are free to install any Antivirus.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

I understand what you are saying but uninstalling that winpcap software I can not just figure out! The driver is in use and it is not listed in the installed program list. Tried looking in services and did not find Netgroup.

Hi TJisRet ^_^,

Could you please see if there is any software which could tamper with the Networking of Windows like VPN Software, Bandwidth Monitor, Network Monitor etc? Could you see anything related to Internet/Network in Add/Remove?

Appreciate the help! I uninstalled Netgear Genie and that seems to taken of it and since I have uninstalled it about 4 Days ago I have not had one crash or any problems at all. I was surprised that took care of it because Genie has been pretty stable for me in the past. I still can not find the software that installed Winpcap on my system but that is for another day. Other then Netgear Genie I have no other network monitoring software. Have a good Christmas!

Glad to hear that the problem has been solved. By the way look who is associated with the WinPcap Library in your system -
