Windows 8.1 HP ENVY 6-1202ea BlackSOD error 0x06d007e

I've been on the AMD 14.4 for some time, any attempt to remove/upgrade to 14.9 results in a black screen where I can only view the mouse cursor for about 2 seconds until it disappears and then reappears. I've also tried updating some of the Windows essentials software to a newer version and once again I was greeted with a black screen after a few flashes. I'm a bit stuck currently and I'm not sure what to do, any advice would be wonderful.

Also, the only way out of the predicaments is to reset then boot up with F11 to system restore, otherwise it remains on a black screen and doesn't move.

Errors I sometimes see when it comes to black screen are error 0x06d007e at location 0x2abc606c, also mentions HP Remote User if I can remember correctly, hope this can be of some use.

Here's my debug zip file. View attachment 54373

Bonus: Also, does anyone know why my laptop is so inept at playing some games? Sometimes it runs smoothly, then it just starts stuttering even on the lowest settings and settles down after a while again. It shouldn't be overheating because the games aren't on for that long surely?

You have a SAMSUNG Mobile USB Remote NDIS Network Device:
I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices. Especially in Win8/8.1 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 and later systems - using older drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have the latest Win8/8.1 drivers - DO NOT use older drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

This device has problems in Device Manager:
USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller ROOT\UOIP_BUS_DRIVER\0000 This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.
Right click on it and select "Uninstall". If prompted to remove the driver software, click on the checkbox to consent to it. Then reboot the system and see if the device problem has been fixed. If not, post back for further suggestions.

Lot's of Windows Updates failures in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report. If the problems continue, please post over in the Windows Updates & Activation - Windows 8 Forums for further expert assistance with this issue.

FYI - with laptops, the drivers are modified by the OEM's so that they will play nicely with the other graphics drivers (AMD/Intel and nVidia/Intel). As such, you may not be able to use the drivers from the AMD website.
Here's a quote from one of my posts on another site:
The AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification tool helps you determine your notebook’s compatibility with generic AMD Catalyst Mobility drivers. It helps to prevent incorrect installation on incompatible notebooks which may lead to disabled features or functionality.

If you experience difficulty while using the generic AMD Catalyst Mobility drivers, we recommend reverting to the driver provided by your notebook vendor. Please contact your notebook vendor for their most recent graphics drivers.

The following notebooks are not compatible with this tool:
Notebooks equipped with switchable graphics
Toshiba® notebooks
Sony® VAIO® notebooks
Panasonic® notebooks

The AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification Tool is available from here: AMD Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver
FYI - my Samsung notebook has the AMD graphics disabled because of this (and I'm too lazy to go back and fix the problems in order to enable it :0) Your problems with your laptop playing some games is very similar to what I experience on my system - so I suspect it's that your system needs to use the HP drivers for the AMD video card.

Good luck!
