Hi, installed Windows 8.1 today (by upgrading from windows 8) and when i try to power on, it shows me blue screen and this error: athwbx.sys.... dont know what to do.. i will downgrade to win7 as soon as i can, this version of windows is so buggy.. and ideas on how to fix it?????
The error relates to the Atheros Wireless drivers on your system. Try updating them.
Beyond this, I have these 4 suggestions:
1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
2. Get ALL available, Win8.1 compatible updates from the manufacturer's website.
3. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
4. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings
Pretty sure that it has one, but haven't checked inside the case!

has switchable - Intel/ATI - Used wrong drivers, now ATI card is inop :( Will have to fix it soon!

Touchscreen on laptop/32" Toshiba on HDMI (laid the Sharp TV on a mouse and cracked the screen!)

One Samsung 1tB drive - 5400 rpm. Gonna switch to a 7200/10000 rpm or an SSD (if I can find $500 for a 1tB SSD!)
- Switched to 500 gB Samsung 840 series SSD - WOW!!!
